The Aloha Youth Lacrosse Club does not endorse any particular camp, clinic, league, club, program, activity, supplier or vendor.  This information is being posted as a courtesy to our members who may be interested in the goods or services provided.

  • Unless otherwise noted, grades listed are for the 2012/2013 school year; please double check with each program before registering if you have questions.
  • Please contact if you have summer lacrosse program information to add to or change on this list.
  • Many local park and recreation districts have summer lacrosse offerings. THPRD, Hillsboro, and Portland parks and recreation may have lacrosse camps/instruction, especially for younger beginners. If you aren't a resident of the park and rec district, the class/camp fee may be higher.

Fifth Annual Rhino Lacrosse Beginners Academy

Boys (and Girls), grades 1-4  determined by the 2013/2014 school year

This summer beginner’s academy is designed to be fun, with a focus on the introduction to the sport of lacrosse. Players will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the game with a focus on stick work, footwork, hand eye coordination, Ryan Powell’s RootB Training System and more all while having fun!!! If your son or daughter is looking to get involved in the great sport of lacrosse this will be the camp for them!

This will be a sticks only camp (loaner sticks will not be provided).

Latitude 45 Two Day Camp in Tualatin

Boys grades 4-12
Cost:        $95, must have active US Lacrosse membership
Dates:      Monday and Tuesday, June 17 and 18
Time:       9:15am-3:30pm

The camp will be lead by Ted Garber. Coach Garber is the current head coach of the Ohio Machine (MLL). He has coached at the division 1 college level and at private high schools in Connecticut. He has placed many players in Div. I, II & III college programs.

This event will provide an excellent opportunity to interact and learn skills, drills and team play from one of the best.


Boys JV Instruction/Scrimmage Lacrosse Northwest (LAX NW)

Boys JV, developing players entering 9th-12 for 2013/2014 school year

Boys Varsity High School Club Teams
Lacrosse Northwest (LAX NW)

High School Boys Varsity  2013/2014 school year
Players must have played on a Varsity team. Teams will be limited to 20 players.
Cost:        $175, goalies $115
Dates:      Thursdays, June 20-August 15, 2013 plus a tournament on Friday, August 16.
Time:       Thursdays evenings; times will vary depending on the location and the week.
Location:  Hillsboro Stadium, Lakeridge HS, or Cleveland HS

  • Join one of our locations to receive 1.5  hours of qualified instruction and competitive play per week for eight weeks. Pick a location that hosts your league, or, the location closer to your home.
  • Players must have played on a Varsity team.
  • Each location includes two teams who will warm-up during the same time with their designated head coaches.
  • The last hour of each night will consist of one game against another club team. 
  • Players will be at their home field location the majority of the eight weeks.  The other weeks, players will travel to one of the other Portland area locations where they will practice with their team and play against a different club team.
  • Lacrosse Northwest will provide certified officials, time keepers, and score keepers in addition to coaching staff for each competitive game.
  • Club teams will participate in the summer LaxNW Club Tournament date Friday August 16

Rhino Boys Lacrosse, Summer League at OES

For Youth and Middle School, the first half of each session will be devoted to practice and instruction, designed to improve your skills and knowledge of the game.  The second half of each session will be a full lacrosse game giving you the opportunity to show off what you learned in practice while competing in real game situations.

The Summer Rhino Lacrosse league for HS boys will focus mostly on game play and will include some specific positional instruction beforehand. This league is open to players of all abilities. Coaches will referee all games.

All league sessions will have a certified trainer on site. Every member of the Rhino Lacrosse staff are background checked before being hired.

Oregon Episcopal School Lacrosse Camp

Boys (and Girls) grades 1-5

This class will introduce young players to the fundamentals of lacrosse. Students will work on throwing, catching, shooting, dodging, and picking up ground balls through fun, non-contact activities and games. Students will leave the camp prepared for team play in the older grades. Session B is for beginning players and will only use soft balls (no helmets necessary). Equipment is needed for Session A.


Jesuit High School Men's Lacrosse

Dennis Sullivan & Assistant Coaches
Skills & Thrills Lacrosse Camp for boys will be run by OES varsity lacrosse coach Dennis Sullivan. Dennis was an NCAA All American at Brown University and played for the Major League Lacrosse New Jersey Pride. Top college and high school players will assist in the camp to ensure individual attention to each camper.

Players will learn shooting, dodging, stick skills, defense, and team strategy. This will be accomplished through drills, small-sided games, and full field competition.

At the Nike Boys Lacrosse Camp, our goal is to stimulate a love for the game by immersing you in the sport and giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential to improvement. Over the course of camp, your enthusiasm and self-confidence will grow along with your skills.

Program highlights: 8:1 camper to instructor on field ratio. Daily emphasis on fundamentals, position training, drills and scrimmages. Nike and STX Prizes for outstanding play, sportsmanship, and improvement.

Boom Town Lacrosse’s camps are designed to provide participants an opportunity to become better players while having fun.  We strive to help young players reach their true potential by reinforcing fundamentals, exposing them to advanced skill sets and techniques that will help improve their game.  We believe that this is only possible by creating a positive and comfortable learning environment by surrounding our participants with counselors that are not only capable of coaching at a high level, but being good role models, because we believe it is our responsibility to teach young men and boys how to conduct themselves on and off the field.


GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp Beaverton, OR

Camp Director is Jason Rife. He is Assistant Coach at Whittier College and Former Div. I Head Coach at Wagner College and Assistant at Bryant, UMass and Washington & Lee. Jason holds a degree in Sports Management and a Masters in Education.

GameBreaker Campers will leave camp with a greater sense of what it takes to be at the top of their game. Our camps were developed to provide young athletes with the opportunity to become better lacrosse players by learning from the best coaches and players in the game today. Since our inception in 2001, over 50,000 campers have attended our camps and improved their skills. Our staff is committed to the individual development of each camper.

University of Oregon Overnight Lacrosse Camp

Boys, ages 12-18  Must have at least 1 season of organized lacrosse, no graduating seniors, all positions are welcome.
Cost:           $555, each session of overnight camp, there is no difference between sessions -- come to one or both!                            Limited goalie discounts; other discounts available.

A unique and favorite aspect of Lorne’s camps is the competition for the ‘Campionship’ of each division. Teams accumulate points throughout the week for winning games and drills, and also for displaying great teamwork and sportsmanship. With five instructional sessions and six game sessions, we mix the competition found at team camps with the skill development of instructional camps into our own patented formula to give you the best camp experience possible.


Oregon Overnight Lacrosse Camp at OSU

TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP:  We have three sessions per day.  A great deal of instruction takes place in the early part of the day, demonstrations and instruction mid-day, and games during the evening session.  We also like to throw in a number of ‘fun’ activities like our fastest shot contest, freestyle/skills competition, lax golf, pool time, rec time, and camper vs. coach game.
