- Many local park and recreation districts have summer lacrosse offerings. THPRD, Hillsboro, and Portland parks and recreation may have lacrosse camps/instruction, especially for younger beginners. If you aren't a resident of the park and rec district, the class/camp fee may be higher.

Fifth Annual Rhino Lacrosse Beginners Academy

This summer beginner’s academy is designed to be fun, with a focus on the introduction to the sport of lacrosse. Players will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the game with a focus on stick work, footwork, hand eye coordination, Ryan Powell’s RootB Training System and more all while having fun!!! If your son or daughter is looking to get involved in the great sport of lacrosse this will be the camp for them!

Latitude 45 Two Day Camp in Tualatin

Cost: $95, must have active US Lacrosse membership

The camp will be lead by Ted Garber. Coach Garber is the current head coach of the Ohio Machine (MLL). He has coached at the division 1 college level and at private high schools in Connecticut. He has placed many players in Div. I, II & III college programs.
This event will provide an excellent opportunity to interact and learn skills, drills and team play from one of the best.

Boys JV Instruction/Scrimmage Lacrosse Northwest (LAX NW)

Boys Varsity High School Club Teams
Lacrosse Northwest (LAX NW)
High School Boys Varsity 2013/2014 school year
Players must have played on a Varsity team. Teams will be limited to 20 players.
Cost: $175, goalies $115
Dates: Thursdays, June 20-August 15, 2013 plus a tournament on Friday, August 16.
Time: Thursdays evenings; times will vary depending on the location and the week.
Location: Hillsboro Stadium, Lakeridge HS, or Cleveland HS
- Join one of our locations to receive 1.5 hours of qualified instruction and competitive play per week for eight weeks. Pick a location that hosts your league, or, the location closer to your home.
- Players must have played on a Varsity team.
- Each location includes two teams who will warm-up during the same time with their designated head coaches.
- The last hour of each night will consist of one game against another club team.
- Players will be at their home field location the majority of the eight weeks. The other weeks, players will travel to one of the other Portland area locations where they will practice with their team and play against a different club team.
- Lacrosse Northwest will provide certified officials, time keepers, and score keepers in addition to coaching staff for each competitive game.

Rhino Boys Lacrosse, Summer League at OES

For Youth and Middle School, the first half of each session will be devoted to practice and instruction, designed to improve your skills and knowledge of the game. The second half of each session will be a full lacrosse game giving you the opportunity to show off what you learned in practice while competing in real game situations.
The Summer Rhino Lacrosse league for HS boys will focus mostly on game play and will include some specific positional instruction beforehand. This league is open to players of all abilities. Coaches will referee all games.
All league sessions will have a certified trainer on site. Every member of the Rhino Lacrosse staff are background checked before being hired.

Oregon Episcopal School Lacrosse Camp

This class will introduce young players to the fundamentals of lacrosse. Students will work on throwing, catching, shooting, dodging, and picking up ground balls through fun, non-contact activities and games. Students will leave the camp prepared for team play in the older grades. Session B is for beginning players and will only use soft balls (no helmets necessary). Equipment is needed for Session A.

GameBreaker Campers will leave camp with a greater sense of what it takes to be at the top of their game. Our camps were developed to provide young athletes with the opportunity to become better lacrosse players by learning from the best coaches and players in the game today.
