  • Many local park and recreation districts have summer lacrosse offerings. THPRD, Hillsboro, and Portland parks and recreation mayl have some lacrosse camps/instruction, especially for younger beginners. If you aren't a resident of the park and rec district, the class/camp fee may be higher.

Aloha 3v3 Chumash Lacrosse Tournament 2013

Free Summer Lacrosse Camp for Hillsboro & Friends

Girls (and Boys), grades 3-8

Dates:      July 16 and 17, 2013  Tuesday and Wednesday
Time:       1pm-4pm
Location:  53rd Ave Sports Fields in Hillsboro, 300 NE 53rd Ave

Run by Lacrosse for All. New players will learn new skills and experienced players will refine their skills. We make it fun! Equipment will be provided.


Fifth Annual Rhino Lacrosse Beginners Academy

Girls (and Boys), grades 1-4  determined by the 2013/2014 school year
Cost:        $55, registration closes July 1
Dates:      July 8-11, 2013  Mon - Thurs (4 days, 8 hours total)
Time:       10am-noon
Location:  Lakeridge High School, Lake Oswego

This summer beginner’s academy is designed to be fun, with a focus on the introduction to the sport of lacrosse. Players will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the game with a focus on stick work, footwork, hand eye coordination, Ryan Powell’s RootB Training System and more all while having fun!!! If your son or daughter is looking to get involved in the great sport of lacrosse this will be the camp for them!

This will be a sticks only camp (loaner sticks will not be provided).


Girls Middle School Summer Ball Club, LAXNW

Middle School Girls, grades 5/6 and 7/8 in Fall of 2013
Cost:        $170; goalies $100
Dates:      Monday evenings, June 17 - August 12, 2013 (8 days, 12 hours total)
Time:       5/6 from 6-7:30pm; 7/8 from 7:30-9pm
Location:  Rosemont Middle School, 9911 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland

These instructional/scrimmage leagues are for players who have two or more spring seasons of playing experience.  The leagues also include girls playing on our select travel teams.  Therefore, the level of play should be very competitive.  We will be hosting beginner clinics on different dates and times.

Coaching is provided by experienced/qualified staff.  We add in some of our favorite Oregon High School Alumni who are current collegiate players and who have been trained by the best!


Rhino Girls Lacrosse, Summer Field League at OES

Girls, grades 7-12  2013/2014 school year
Cost:         $199; goalie and sibling discounts are available
Dates:       Sundays, June 16-July 21, 2013 (6 days, 12 hours total)
Time:         2-4pm
Location:   Oregon Episcopal School, Raleigh Hills/Portland

This league is instruction based and offers a fun mix of instruction and game play. Each session will differ from the last but each will include individual skill development, positional drills, game concepts and game-play. If you are looking for an offseason training opportunity this summer at an excellent value the field league is for you!  This league is open to players of all abilities. Coaches will referee all games.

All league sessions will have a certified trainer on site. Every member of the Rhino Lacrosse staff are background checked before being hired.


Oregon Episcopal School Lacrosse Camp

Girls (and Boys) grades 1-5

This class will introduce young players to the fundamentals of lacrosse. Students will work on throwing, catching, shooting, dodging, and picking up ground balls through fun, non-contact activities and games. Students will leave the camp prepared for team play in the older grades. Session B is for beginning players and will only use soft balls (no helmets necessary). Equipment is needed for Session A.

Lacrosse Northwest is working in a partnership with Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation to offer this Summer youth lacrosse camp for girls of all ages and abilities.  We are providing our knowledgeable coaching staff to give participants the best lacrosse experience possible.

BEGINNING to INTERMEDIATE:  For players with a year or less playing time or experience and younger players.  Basic lacrosse skills focus on cradling, passing, catching, ground ball pick ups, defensive positioning, shooting, and other skills.  Each session ends with a scrimmage or fun game.

SKILLS, STRATEGY, and TEAM PLAY:  For players with 2 or more years game playing experience.  Focus on advanced lacrosse skills such as offensive strategy, field transitions, shooting techniques and defensive team play.  Athletic development such as speed and agility drills are incorporated.  Scrimmaging included.


OES Lacrosse: Developing Skills for Girls

Play and have fun while learning and developing the fundamental skills of girls’ lacrosse. Expand your skills and participate in age-appropriate games and scrimmages. Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups. Players will benefit from a small player-to-coach ratio and will learn from one of the most experienced girls’ lacrosse coaches in Oregon.

Players will learn techniques in shooting; dodging and cutting; stick skills: throwing and catching; cradling (with both right and left hands); defense and defensive footwork; team strategy. The week will include drills, small-sided games, and full-field competition.


Jesuit High School Women's Lacrosse

A one-week clinic designed to strengthen individual fundamentals of passing, shooting, offense and defense. All skill levels are welcomed and all skill levels will be challenged. Please bring: Goggles, Stick, Mouthguard and a Water Bottle.

OES Lacrosse: Transitions for Girls

You have learned the fundamentals, now transition those skills into higher levels. Apply what you know about lacrosse into more challenging situations with our instructional support. There are transitions from no checking to modified, from middle school to high school, from offense to defense, and from defense to offense.

Students will be divided into age-appropriate groups to discover and develop intermediate and advanced skills of girls’ lacrosse. Master skills so you can participate in scrimmages and player-up situations (e.g. 5v4, 4v3, 2v1). Players will have a small player-to-coach ratio. Players will learn techniques in shooting; dodging and cutting off the ball; stick skills: throwing, catching, and cradling with both right and left hands; stick tricks; defense and defensive footwork; safe and smart checking; scrimmaging in player-up and player-down situations. The week will include drills, small-sided games, and full-field competition.

Oregon Ducks Lacrosse Camp for Girls

Run by Division I players & coaches. Designed for the all skill levels. Intense instruction & training will develop skills & techniques to improve your overall game to an even higher level. Focus on stick work, shooting, offensive and defensive play and the basic concepts of the game.

Sessions will consist of a variety of drills & games to learn strategies & techniques. Campers will be divided into age groups and experience levels for session & team play. Teams will compete for camp tournament title throughout the three days. The atmosphere will be intense, fun & energetic.


GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp for Girls in Seattle
